All candidates referred for positions undergo an in depth interview and selection process using a behavioural approach linking key selection criteria to demonstrated capability. Our consultants are skilled in staff selection and will only refer the very best candidates for consideration. All administrative candidates are tested for computer competency using our QWIZ testing package. Skills can be assessed in a variety of desktop programs in addition to the standard speed and accuracy testing. Assessments can also be customised to suit the requirements of particular industries or organisations. This is especially useful where specific technical or other industry terms are used frequently, such as in the medical and legal sectors. However, personality compatibility is as important as skills, so our consultants assess each candidate for personality fit to your culture as well as assessing their expertise. Naturally, reference checking is undertaken to confirm each candidate's background details and to provide further information to assist in the selection process.

Industrial Recruitment

People at Work's Industrial Division commenced in 1989 and since that time has provided trades and labour for short term temporary and permanent positions to companies throughout Geelong and the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Operating across two offices in Brooklyn and Geelong, our team of specialist industrial recruiters source only the best candidates from Geelong and Melbourne to fill the many temporary vacancies with our client companies.

Major sectors serviced include food manufacturing and processing, fertilisers, plastics and textiles.

Candidates undergo an in depth selection process to determine suitability for the role. Competency assessments are available and credentials are verified, with specific reference checking undertaken prior to referral to our clients. A placement guarantee is offered with all permanent positions. If the candidate leaves within the guarantee period then we will find a suitable replacement at no additional fee. In addition to utilising our extensive candidate data base, People at Work can advertise, interview, screen and short list, with volume recruitment a specialty.
