Administration/Assistant Reliever

 

An experienced Medical Receptionist/Administration Assistant Reliever is required for a coastal community hospital. This position is full time 26th February – 12th March and ongoing casual after this period.

 

In this role you will be the first point of contact for people visiting or telephoning the hospital. The role will include exposure to sensitive patient information, therefore requires a high level of confidentiality.

  

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Answering phones & referring callers to appropriate area of the hospital
  • Taking appointments and organizing bookings as required
  • Receipt fees, eftpos  and donations
  • Maintain the Hospital Medical Records
  • Collate KPI’s and prepare Quality Improvement projects in relation to medical records
  • Provide secretarial support for DCS, Distract Nurse and community Health Nurse
  • Distribute timesheets and payslips
  • Raise invoices for Community Nursing when required
  • Accuracy of documentation is a key responsibility

An understanding of reception/administration in a public sector environment and well –developed interpersonal skills including excellent communication is essential to the role.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate a community orientated approach, and preferably experience in the development and management of administration systems and meeting strict deadlines.
